Novus Property Development engaged the Pelenoy Group for the build of a new residential apartment block in Sydney’s south. Dicker Data Ltd is an ASX listed wholesale distributor of computer hardware, software and associated services. We operate nationally out of a centralised distribution centre in Kurnell NSW. Dicker Data has been dealing with Pelenoy Constructions Pty Ltd since 2012, when they were contracted for a 10,000 sqm extension to our near new 5000 sqm facility. Project was completed in stages with first stage of a 5,000 sqm warehouse extension completed in 2013. Due to expansion of the business the second stage was required shortly after and included double story offices and fitout, in addition to a further expansion of the warehouse. A short turnaround time frame was critical for us for this extension due to integration of another business into this location. Pelenoy were not only able to complete the project within the tight time frame required but also provided further assistance with overall fitout and car park solutions required. When taking on the project there were legacy council and DA issues that needed to be navigated and although not specifically within their scope of works, Pelenoy provided ongoing assistance to Dicker Data to navigate these issues to a successful conclusion. We would thoroughly recommend the services of Peter Waud and the Pelenoy team. We have found them to be very professional in their approach with projects completed within time and within scope. However, what we valued most was the personalised service in which we have been able to rely on them for ongoing advice in relation to further extensions and ongoing modifications.
Labelmakers Group Pty Ltd is Australia’s largest privately owned label printing company with sites nationwide and overseas. In 2015/6, Labelmakers engaged Pelenoy to design and install the foundations for our print bases in our new carton plant in Northmead. The project cost was in the region of $150k. At all times from tender process and project commencement to post completion, we at Labelmakers found the Pelenoy team to be professional, accommodating, efficient, innovative and cost conscious. The project, which was on a very strict deadline due to the relocation of printing presses, ran perfectly to schedule. During the course of the works, Pelenoy went above and beyond to find ways to make the project less costly without compromising the end result. I would have no reservations about recommending Pelenoy for similar projects and indeed would not hesitate to use them again should a need arise.
We are pleased to advise that Pelenoy Constructions Pty Ltd, under the direction of its Managing Director, Peter Waud, has over recent years, successfully completed three projects for various entities in our group. They are: > Greenway Plaza Wetherill Park; Major alterations and additions to the existing shopping centre. Value, $1.8 million. > Bulky Goods Retail development at the corner of Woodville Rd and Fairfield St. East Fairfield; Value, $4.5 Million. > Casula Central, Hume Highway Casula; Bulky Goods Retail development; Value $13.8 million. Three things are significant. > In each case Pelenoy won a competitive tender. > All projects were completed within budget and on time. > Any identified defects and or remedial works required were attended to immediatley and without fuss. One cannot ask more from any building contractor than that. I will be pleased to answer any queries you may have in furtherance of your own interests.
Pelenoy Constructions Pty Ltd was engaged to design and construct a predominatley commercial and industrial development on behalf of FKP Commercial Developments Pty Limited in 2006. The works was undertaken at one of our projects known as ‘J6’ at 6 Jubilee Avenue, Warriewood in Sydney’s northern beaches. The contract value was in the order of $12,775,000 (excl GST). The works were undertaken via an AS4902 General Conditions of Contract for Design and Construct under a fixed lump-sum cost arrangement. The project consisted of an array of commercial suits, industrial units and large complex common area in the form on-grade and upper podium decks capable of parking cars and rigid trucks. A child care centre and cafe were also included as part of the works. Largely a concrete structure, Pelenoy deployed due care and skill for both pre-cast and in-situ concrete elements of the design. The works were undertaken in a timely fashion, within the contract program and without dispute. Challenges faced were readily overcome and some six years beyond completion, the building is standing the test of time. Tenants speak highly of the development. I found Peter Waud to be a hands-on Director of Pelenoy, attending design meetings, leading the on-site team with direction and assisting FKP when required at an authorities level. Pelenoy went above their contract requirements to assist FKP in delivering its requirements under the development consent, in an environmentally sensitive area adjacent to Narrabeen Creek. I would consider Pelenoy to be a “no fuss” builder that is willing to find solutions agreeable to both the principal and the contractor in order to get the works done, but at all times, in accordance with principal’s requirements and design intent. I can recommend Pelenoy for projects of a similar nature and cost and would employ them again, should the need arise.
PMP limited is one of the largest printing and distribution companies of catalogues, magazines and marketing materials in Australasia and is the largest heat-set web offset printer in Australasia. Within the ‘PMP Print’ Division services include: Directories Printing, Retail Printing, Publishing, Government Printing, and Corporate Printing across Australia from major facilities located in Melbourne, Perth, Sydney and Brisbane. In 1993 Pelenoy commenced working with PMP at various sites around Australia. The projects have varied in sizes from $300K to $21 million. The total value of works completed is approximatley $50 million. The projects have consisted of office fit outs, building renovations, and constructing new building. In summary, Pelenoy Constructions has been instrumental in assisting PMP Limited to achieve significant, structural changes to our business. The Pelenoy team have always presented themselves with the utmost integrity and professionalism. Pelenoy have always given us straight advice, meeting its promises and working without incident to deliver excellent results. I would be happy to recommend Pelenoy Constructions to any prospective future clients.
Pelenoy Constructions has been recommended by Manroland Australasia Pty Limited to construct printing press machine bases for all types of printing machinery no matter how large or small. Printing presses, such as manroland demand the highest quality in machine foundations. The long term reliability of the printing press depend heavily on the quality and accurate tolerances of the machine base. This type of work is not in the millions but often ranges between $100,000 and $300,000. We would have no hesitation in recommending Pelenoy Constructions. They have never delivered late and once agreeing on the price it does not vary. I personally have worked with Peter Waud over the last decade and have found him and his company to be honest, professional, deliver on time, and go the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction.
